About Me
I'm Christine So, a speaker, entrepreneur, and certified life coach based in Hong Kong.
I was born with one leg, and for years I wore a heavy prosthetic to hide it. Physically and mentally, I lived in a kind of prison, afraid to be who I am. At 21, I made the decision. I stopped wearing the prosthetic and walked out on crutches. That opened the door to a new life.
With my new freedom and better mobility, what followed was a life I never thought I'd have. Travel, sport, startups, adventures I couldn't have imagined. But the real story isn't the adventures. It's what I stopped carrying.
I realised it was never just about the leg. I carried shame, avoided my identity, and questioned my worth. I performed, pushed, and proved for years, still feeling like I wasn't enough.
That's where One Leg Lighter comes from. It doesn't mean one leg less. It means that thing you carry, the performance, the guilt, the image, you can kick it off with one leg. Just as I discovered I had an option beyond the prosthetic, you have one too.
My faith in Jesus is at the heart of that change. I'm learning to live from being beloved rather than proving my worth. I believe in heart work, not just hard work.
I share my story because I know what it's like to carry something that was never yours to hold. And I know what it feels like when you finally put it down.
Outside of work, I love hosting dinner parties, quiet mornings studying the Bible, serving in ministry, working out, eating well, and exploring the world whenever I can.
